Podcasts for the Classroom

In reviewing 50 Educational Podcasts, I was immediately drawn to Classroon 2.0 LIVE! It has weekly webinars for beginners and even has archived podcasts to help a TSL (as Robin puts it) like me. I think I will be using this quite often to help me with using more technology in my classroom. For example, last Saturday was a podcast by Toni Ploudre about Autism, iPad apps and accessibility. This could be particularly helpful, because we have an autistic student coming to us this fall. Then there are links that are shared by the participants. So much great information to sort through....... I also explored the Classic Poetry Aloud Index. This is a great place to go so that students can listen to classic poetry read aloud. I listened to Because I Could Not Stop For Death by Emily Dickinson. I remember reading this in high school. I also listened to Annabel Lee by Edgar Allan Poe. I don't remember reading this one in high school, but I did recognize it as I was listening.

  1. I didn't check this one out but it sounds quite useful. I like that it is relevant to both teachers (PD info on autism) and students (poetry read alouds).
