Carr, J. (2007). Greedy Apostrophe: a cautionary tale. New York, NY: Holiday House.
Greedy Apostrophe: A Cautionary Tale by Jan Carr is a concept book teaching when to use an apostrophe. The story starts with all punctuation marks getting ready for their assigned jobs for the day. We have a greedy apostrophe who doesn't want to listen to his job. He wants to cause problems everywhere he goes. When he gets assigned to possessives the other punctuation marks are shocked. He jumps into signs where he doesn't belong.....will they ever get him in his correct place? Great for use when teaching apostrophes in class.
