Saenz, B. A. (2012). Aristotle and Dante discover the secrets to the universe. New York: Simon & Schuster.
Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe by Benjamin Saenz is a great read for middle/ high school boys. Ari is an angry loner who is struggling to figure out who he is while trying to deal with family secrets. He meets Dante at the swimming pool and they become friends. Dante is the opposite of Ari. He is more confident and wants to be an artist. When Dante tells Ari that he is gay, he is surprised but stands by him. Some of the material in this book is more mature with sexual themes, language, and drug and alcohol references.
